Parking service provider raises over $120,000 to benefit scholarships, employee funds and community nonprofits

Parking Management Company hosted their third annual PMC Cares Golf Classic on September 26th, where they raised more than $120,000 to benefit the company’s nonprofit foundation, PMC Cares. All proceeds from the event support PMC Cares’ grants and donations for the following year. Through the event, the local hospitality and parking services provider previously raised $100,000 in 2022, as well as $85,000 in 2021.

“The PMC team takes pride in the philanthropic ambitions PMC Cares represents, and we are thrilled to have raised such a significant amount to continue benefiting charities throughout next year,” said PMC President Matt Cahill. “From the outstanding work of the local nonprofits we benefit to helping our own through scholarships and assistance funds, it is incredible to see the impact PMC Cares makes in the communities we serve.”

PMC Cares launched in 2016 to support a scholarship fund for PMC associates, an employee assistance fund and impactful donations to local nonprofits in the communities in which PMC operates. The company, which previously collaborated with The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee to disburse grants to local organizations, established PMC Cares as an official 501(c)(3) organization in early 2023.

Throughout 2023, the nonprofit has granted $27,500 across seven scholarships for PMC associates, in addition to $12,500 given to employee assistance funds so far this year. In addition, PMC Cares has supported nine organizations with over $67,000 in donations. The company’s associates have also tracked more than 500 hours of volunteer work across the country.

In 2022, PMC established the Lend a Hand program to supplement their community impact efforts. Each of PMC’s regions chooses an organization that resonates with their associates, and the Lend a Hand program will support the foundation with donations. PMC Cares has donated over $30,000 across five  Lend a Hand organizations in 2023.
